If you plant it in a big pot and keep it watered you can keep it in the house and deactore it for Christmas and plant it after the holidays. We did this when I was a kid, in the late 50 s and early 60 s, and there are still a few giant Douglas Firs or Blue Spruces growing in the yard. We did consider it though. But, I worried too much that the dryness inside would kill it. O took it out to our land and out it inside in a big bucket of water. Hopefully it will do ok until we can plant it. Any idea what kind of pine it is?
